Republican MP Hovhannes Sahakyan today had a press conference and announced that Republicans are actively preparing for the upcoming presidential elections.
He stressed that the announcement which was done earlier is going to happen and they will participate in the elections with their candidate, Serzh Sargsyan (Current president of Armenia).
During the conference the MP didn’t want to comment on PAP, since, according to him, PAP hasn’t decided anything concerning the elections and it would be wrong to predict something.
Concerning ANC, Sahakyan stressed that even the party itself doesn’t know what to do.
Sahakyan noted that ANC hasn’t yet decided who will be their candidate, since everything is messed up there and they can’t get into an agreement.
He also added that ANC certainly doesn’t have the power which it had years ago.
In the end Republican MP said that he agrees with Eduard Sharmazanov, vice-president of RA NA, Republican, that the only powerful candidate is Serzh Sargsyan.
