Georgian media reports that Georgian Ex-Internal Minister, Bacho Akhalaia, has already returned from abroad and is ready to answer all questions in the case of the investigation of his activities.
The current authorities accused Akhalaia of torturing people. He resigned after spread of video about torture of prisoners.
Akhalaia noted that, despite the fact that the policy of the Georgian Dream contradicts the interests of the country, he considers that the elections were an important step to consolidate the reforms. He wished that the new force is not wasted a democratic heritage.
“I don’t represent and do not speak on behalf of any political group, but I want to say that I shared, and share the policy of President Saakashvili and he has always served for the Georgian state and the citizens,” Akhalaia says.
