The aim of meeting between Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov in Paris was to bring back Azerbaijan in the field of constructive negotiations. This was reported today, November 5, by Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian during a budget discussion in the RA National Assembly.
According to him, the meeting was initiated by the MG co-chairs because Azerbaijan earlier (in Kazan, Sochi, Astrakhan, St. Petersburg) during the summit meetings has rejected all the proposals that were made by the Co-Chairs on the settlement of Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
“In fact, Azerbaijan rejected the peace process proposals to put forward the NKR conflict and failed the negotiation process. Last shameful deal with the extradition of Safarov was another blow to the peace process. Armenia announced about continuing negotiations, but the Azerbaijani side was the one unwilling to continue it. That is why MG co-chairs organized that meeting” said Mr. Nalbandian.
According to him, there is some change in the positions of the international community in the last 2 months. “Only one thing has not changed, it is the common wish of the Co-Chairs and Armenia to continue negotiations and impose Azerbaijan for peace settlement on Nagorno-Karabakh,” said. Nalbandian
