In 2013 Ministry of Foreign Affairs will allocate 10 billion 557 million AMD from state budget, which is for 1 billion 420 million drams more compared to the previous year’s budget, to open new embassies, announced today Finance Minister Pavel Safarian.
He said that the budget for the maintenance of embassies and missions was added by 919 million AMD, amounting 7 billion 600 million drams.
“These funds are expected to be used for the opening of new embassies in Mexico, Vietnam and Indonesia, for which 436 million AMD will be needed,” said the deputy minister.
He also noted that funds will be allocated to international organizations to minimize the debt accumulated in 20 years of membership fees.
“That amount was more than 20 million, and now we are already able to find funds. We have reduced that debt, which has reached 5 million dollar, “he said.
