Russian Regnum News Agency reports that Azerbaijani Deputy Foreign Minister, Araz Azimov, had an interview with Yurd.tv and talked about Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.According to him, a “road map” must be created for the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
“We don’t think that in this way the conflict will be solved. According to our reliable sources there are a variety of data on the number of currently living in Nagorno-Karabakh Armenians. The number of civilians living in Karabakh is about 30 thousand people, plus, there are 20-25 thousand Armenian servicemen who arrived from Yerevan military units. Local power structure is also defined by Yerevan. So in total there are about 50 thousand people. However, the local population is approximately 30,000 people. Before the start of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict there were 120,000 Armenians in Karabakh. So Armenians are reduced from Karabakh,” said Azimov adding “Armenia drew itself into a tragic situation and must look for ways to get out of it”.
