Azerbaijani media reports that Richard Morningstar, US ambassador to Azerbaijan, commented on the decision of Armenians to commission the airport in Khankandi city.
According to him, consequences of Armenian’s decision will not be pleasant:
“One thing I can say for sure that if this airport is commissioned, it will not help the peace process. The US stance in this issue is that the both sides should address this issue within international legal norms. I repeat that as the Minsk Group and others stated, any flight from this airport will negatively affect the peace process,” said the ambassador․
