Russian ИА REGNUM News Agency reports that on October 30, Hovik Abrahamyan, speaker of RA National Assembly, had a meeting with his Czech counterpart, Milan Štěch.
As reported, during the meeting Abrahamyan stressed that their meeting will help a lot to deepen the cooperation which exist between Armenia and Czech republic.
“Armenia is eager to develop the relations with Czech Republic. I’m sure that the inter-parliamentary relations which exist in the countries will deepen the cooperation of two countries” said Arbarahamyan adding “I want to thank your parliament and your government for choosing the right decision concerning Ramil Safarov’s case.”
We should recall that earlier Czech’s Parliament condemned Hungarian action for extraditing the murderer Ramil Safarov who axed Armenian officer Gurgen Margaryan, back in 2004, in Hungary durng NATO exercises.
The Czech parliament made a resolution which also condemned Azerbaijani side for pardoning the murderer.
The source informs that speaker of Chech parliament, Milan Štěch, in his turn, thanked Abrahamyan for accepting the invitation and assured that the relations between Armenia and Czech republic will be developed and will be at a very high level.
Štěch noted that Czech Republic accepted the suggestion made by Armenian side to open a Czech Embassy in Yerevan.
