Analyst Musa Mikayelyan’s article published by “First Armenian News and Analysis” discusses the recent developmens of Armenia-Russia relations. “Russia treatment to Armenia is in a nervous period now. Not only Putin didn’t come to Armenia, but there are different talks on Russia empire aspirations which reaches Armenia as well and time by time Russia sends experimental and lobbying teams to Armenia.”- writes the analyst.
He explains that the matter is that Russia itself is horrified by modern rivalry tendencies, where West has vivid priority. “The fact is that Russia cannot effectively protect its external interests including the ones in Armenia. Russia seems to have everything in Armenia, devoted and obedient power and opposition as well stereotyped society. But Moscow feels that civilization rivalry takes everything from Russia as it doesn’t have the needed political, technological, economic and cultural resources. It has only blackmail, terror, awe which it exercises to persuade Armenia that it will be lost without Russia.”- elaborates Mikayelyan.
The analyst explains that Armenia is not the key factor here, this is just one of the expressions of West-Russia global rivalry. “And Russia is losing as it is not apt to provide the real creative potential. The productivity is at minimum level and it more and more erodes human qualities and brings about instincts.”
Actually Armenia goes away from Russia, which is somehow the manifestation of instincts of the “elite”. Besides there is a dense intelligent layer in Armenia which has logical base devoid of emotions and stereotypes.
Anyhow Moscow is concerned by the very “elite instincts”, as in such case the situation will be unpredictable.
