FundofArmeniangoldsmithsannouncedoflaunching afundraisingaimingatinvestigationofthepastofArmenianjewel-makingandpromotethedevelopmentofthesphere. “In golden jewel making Armenians had the same contribution as the Swiss in clock-making. As a fund we take up the mission to spread this fame all over the world.” – said the co-founder and current president of the fund Pierre Akelyan.
The project plans to examine the history of Armenian jewel-making as well as the works of present jewelers. One of the key factors of the fund is education, in the frameworks of which scholarships will be given to Armenian young people to study abroad.
To date the fund has a package of $25,000 and $15,000. Each sponsor will be presented Franck Muller clock from unique production, which is created by the head of Franck Muller and is dedicated to the Armenian alphabet. 38 golden and 38 steel clocks each includes a letter.
