The PAP MPs have made an unsuccessful parallel comparing the coalition protocol with the Treaty of Sevres as the Armenian authorities have never announced of declining the Treaty of Sevres. This was said by ARP speaker, NA deputy president Edward Sharmazanov commenting on the announcement by PAP MPs Naira Zohrabyan and Vahe Hovhannisyan.
“Quite the opposite is true. It’s the Turkish who always decline this treaty. It is nonsense to compare super important national document with inner political developments.”- said Edward Sharmazanov.
We recall that it was mentioned that to say that ARP-PAP coalition works is the same as to say that the Treaty of Sevres is still in power.
Edward Sharmazanov expressed hope that this announcement “is a certain case of diplomatic ignorance” and has nothing to do with the official position of PAP.
