The Azerbaijani sources report that de-monopolization of the economy, the development of agriculture and small and medium entrepreneurship will be one of the prerogatives of the new Georgian government’s economic policy.
On Thursday Bidzina Ivanishvili, while representing a government program called ‘For a strong, democratic, united Georgia’.
He also highlighted the importance of pension reform which indicates a change to an accumulative system, but still makes sure adapting the pensions with the cost of living and health care reform. First of all, Georgian citizens will be provided with a universal basic health insurance package.
In addition, the government has intention to introduce a taxation mechanism in fiscal policy based on the principle of fairness. The utility payments will be corrected to reduce the tariffs.
Recall that the leader of the winning Georgian Dream coalition, Bidzina Ivanishvili presented minister candidates for the new Georgian government.
Ivanishvili intends to become prime minister.
