The government did not approve of the project of the “Armenian Revolutionary Federation” on the minimum wage.
Today at the regular meeting of the government Finance Minister Vache Gabrielyan informed the Prime Minister that the ARF offers that from 2013 the minimal amount of wages should to satisfy the following conditions. First, it may not be less than the minimum salary in the previous year, according to the 12-month inflation rate. Second, it cannot be less than the minimum living standard 80% of the budget in 2013, 100% for next year and than the 30% of the average monthly salary in 2014 etc. Third, the salary of political, discretionary, and the persons occupying civic position, as well as other public services and local government officials, Central Bank employees may not be less than 120% of the minimum wage.
The Prime Minister stressed that the party has come to an agreement that the indicators they mentioned will be targeted for the government.
“We need to watch how economic programs implementing budgetary costs, influence the economic situation under these indicators.” Said Tigran Sargsyan.
The Prime Minister instructed to refer to those indicators when presenting 2013 state budget.
Vache Gabrielyan said that these items will be in ” Medium Term Expenditure Indicators ” program.
