Georgian Oil and Gas Corporation (GOGC) told country’s media that in January-September 2012, some 25.260.845 million tons of Azerbaijani crude oil were transported through Georgia via Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC), which is less than in same period last year (27.011.375 million tons).
As for the transit of oil through the Baku-Supsa western export oil pipeline, some 2 918 762 tons of oil was transported through this rout in January-September this year, which is roughly the same as in the same period last year.
Note, transit of Azerbaijani oil via the BTC began in September 2005, via Baku-Supsa – since 1999.
