Armen Ashotyan, vice-president of the Republican Party, RA Minister of Education, had an interview with “168 zham” and talked about the Oskanian’s (PAP member) scandal.
“I should stress that there wasn’t any political persecution for Oskanian, since he was involved in that case, but if you want me to bring an example of a political persecution in Armenia I can bring it for you. I’m sure that the chase after Ruben Hayrapetyan, former MP from the Republicans, was a political chase from the enemies of Republicans and Hayrapetyan. As all of you know the whole story of “Harsnakar case” I must stress once again that he didn’t have any involvement in that tragic action. As a good political figure he put away his mandate by his own wish, but I must stress that he wasn’t guilty. This is what we can call a political persecution. And it is not what is happening to Oskanian.
