On October 24, in the Mother SeeofHolyEtchmiadzin, HisHolinessGaregin II, SupremePatriarchandCatholicosofAllArmenians received the UN Resident Coordinator and Standing Representative of United NationsDevelopmentProgramDafinaGercheva.
According to the Holy See’s press service, at themeetingtheCatholicosofAllArmenians, sayinggoodbyetoGercheva, whoiscompleting her mission in Armenia, expressed his appreciation for the work done for the people of Armenia and wished success in future endeavors.His Holiness also praised the various programs of the UN aimed at the development of the RA different structures, as well as the cooperation with the Holy See.
His Holiness congratulated on the UN Day and wished the UN to be effective in all services and promote peaceful and secure life for humanity.
They also touched upon the issue of providing assistance to the people of Syria and the steps taken by the UN agencies and the Holy See.
