Today RA deputy PM, the minister of regional government Armen Gevorgyan received the “Armenia” work team delegation of United cities organization of France.
The deputy PM welcomed the guests and said that warm relations between the two nations turn into tight practical ties. “Armenia has deep cooperation with France in all directions, one of the proofs of which is decentralized cooperation.” – noted A. Gevorgyan.
He noted that more serious grounds are created for deeper cooperation. This year Armenia became lawful member of Francophone international organization.
The deputy PM referred to the first French-Armenian assembly on decentralized cooperation in 2010 in Yerevan noting that it highly assisted the intensification of the relations. He also thanked for cooperation the partners from Hauts-de-Seine, Ile de France and Ron Alpes.
The deputy head of Hauts-de-Seine touched upon the cooperation between United cities organization of France and Armenian communities noting that the organization uniting 3000 communities is a good plane to gain experience.
He also touched upon the cooperation between Hauts-de-Seine and Tavush region in the spheres of agriculture and noted that an agreement will be signed with regional hall of Tavush.
The mayor of Valance informed that the second French-Armenian assembly on decentralized cooperation is planned to pass in Valance next year during Armenia’s presidency in European Council.
The deputy PM noted that community development is one of the key factors in Armenia.
During the meeting the representative of Lion mayor hall referred to the process of cooperation with Yerevan and questions were discussed on decentralized cooperation.
