When in the March 1 morning, 2008, during the press conference in his private house, the RA first president, candidate of president then Levon Ter-Petrossyan announced that nothing is excluded in politics, answering to the question about cooperating with Robert Kocharyan, it seemed to be a black humor.
Following 5 years showed that cooperation with Kocharyan became one of the promises being insistently realized by Levon Ter-Petrossyan. During years all the politicians who refused the idea of cooperation with Kocharyan were taken out of ANC. Today there is almost nobody left in ANC to be against cooperation with Kocharyan, and in those terms ANC feels free to take up the role of protecting Robert Kocharyan.
It is difficult to assess otherwise ANC coordinator Levon Zurabyan’s recent activities. “In case of being reelected in 2013, Serzh Sargsyan will do everything to eliminate Gagik Tsarukyan and Robert Kocharyan, who both have huge economic and financial resources, from the realm of politics.”- announced Levon Zurabyan in the interview with “Freedom” radio station.
He took efforts explaining how that it will occur. “Who becomes the head of the authorities, he owns the property. Thus, anybody who loses authority, loses property as well.”- said Levon Zurabyan adding that Serzh Sargsyan “is well aware that such system highly promoted by him threatens to deplore, his relatives, friends of their authority in case when he loses the power.”
