EU will continue the essential course in Georgia despite the power change, announced the head of EU department of foreign policy on issues of Eastern Europe, Southern Caucasus and Central Asia Gunnar Vigand during the press conference in Tbilisi on October 23rd. The Georgian delegation is headed by in-office minister on integration in European and Euroatlantic structures Tornike Gordadze.
Gunnar Vigand leads the EU delegation arrived in Tbilisi for the 11th round of negotiations on Georgia’s membership to EU.
“We will continue the same course and will achieve results with both incumbent and coming parliament.”- said Vigand. Gordadze mentioned that major part of the negotiations is over. “It is important for us to keep the tempo of negotiations with EU as we have already achieved most part of negotiation results. There are 3-4 rounds left.”- said Gordadze. The end of negotiations is planned to reach in 2013.
