Hranush Hakobyan, RA Minister of Diaspora, during the NA session, held today, October 23, suggested adopting a law, according to which those Syrian-Armenians who have health problems and life dangers must be set free from paying state fees, fines and penalties.
According to Hakobyan, because of the clashes in Syria, more than 5000 Syrian-Armenians visited Armenia. Majority of them wanted to have a short stay, for about 3 weeks, but since the situation is not controlled in Syria they have to stay here and in order to stay each of them must pay 150.000 AMD but with this law they won’t pay the mentioned money:
“Even though our budget won’t get about 150 million AMD, I urge all the MPs to accept the suggestion since we need to support Syrian-Armenians. This law will also apply to other foreigners.”
