The Ministry of Diaspora informs that RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan visited “Cilician” school, which was opened about 3 weeks ago and where children are taught by Syrian educational program taught.
Before getting acquainted with the educational process, Mrs. Hakobyan had consultation with the school administration, the municipality of professionals, teachers and heads of Cilician Benevolent Association.
The participants informed the Minister that children are provided with all the necessary conditions, are taught in repaired classrooms, physical education classes are held in furnished stadium, and due to Sophie Devoyan they attend free dance classes.
Currently, there are 265 pupils taught in that school by teachers from Syria, Armenia, and the appropriate textbooks are already given to the students.
“I want to thank all those who tried to help this initiative. Our teachers are doing a heroic job, devoted work, so that no pupil feels any estrangement,” she said.
Later Mrs. Hakobyan toured the classrooms and talked with the children, listened to their impressions of life in Armenia, entertainment and lifestyle.
