Analyst Aram Amatuni’s article published by “First Armenian News and Analysis” discusses the accident that took place on the last day of ARP campaign of parliamentary elections in the Republic Square and the consequences of the accident. As it is known the balloons blew up and hundreds of people got injured. Serob Bozoyan, who loaded the balloons, was sentenced.
The analyst writes that now the ARP members unanimously say they have nothing to do with the balloons, it’s Bozoyan who filled them with gas. Moreover they announce that the guilty is punished and the accusations against ARP have no grounds. Actually, ARP clearly understands the seriousness of the situation and doesn’t know how to disperse the guilt, elaborates the analyst.
Amatuni stresses that this is not just an accident, where a poor person is punished in case when he had warned about the risk. This is more an attempt to veil the guilt. This issue is essential, as we deal with the leading party, that owns 99% of state levers, and here serious questions arise concerning national security. And maybe this is the cause of being unable to estimate the danger, risk, challenge like in the case of unawareness of Hungary-Azerbaijan deal.
“What is the guarantee that tomorrow Armenia will not be the same way incapable to assess another external threat taking into consideration that the international atmosphere is filled with threats and challenges? From this viewpoint it is of great importance what decisions, positions and conclusions ARP takes and presents to the society, explains Aram Amatuni adding that ARP refrains from taking the responsibility whereas Serzh Sargsyan announces that no guilt will remain unpunished.
In reality the very leading party is left unpunished for the accident, because it is impossible that ARP didn’t know that 7000 balloons were filled with gas. Knowing about crime and keeping silent is also a crime.
Thus, Serzh Sargsyan’s party is unpunished and his words falsified by the very example of ARP, writes the analyst adding that lie is not a novelty in Armenia, the authority is built on lie and the balloon case is one of the episodes of this lie, where the authority is a real physical threat for the citizens. Another episode was in March 1, when 10 persons were killed to preserve the rule; the second episode is fortunately devoid of victims. In both cases the main threat is the authority.
The common parallels give grounds to say that March 1 and May 4 events are the examples of unpunished crimes against the health of citizens”.
