RA President Serzh Sargsyan met with the UN Resident Coordinator and Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) Dafina Gercheva, who is completing her mission in our country.
The president’s press office reported that Serzh Sargsyan praised the Armenian office of the United Nations and Ms.Gracheva’s private investment and implementation of many projects for the development of Armenia. Serzh Sargsyan stressed that the results of these projects will undoubtedly significantly contribute both to the promotion of progress in certain areas, and to Armenia’s sustainable development in general. The President wished Dafina Gercheva success in future works and said that she will always be the friend of Armenia.
During the meeting the parties stressed that since the independence Armenia us actively participating in the UN’s work and leads effective collaboration with many organizations and agencies within the UN organization.
Ms. Gercheva thanked the Government of Armenia and Serzh Sargsyan for the support during the entire period of her leading. She assured that she is leaving Armenia with warm memories, the greatest reverence and respect to Armenian people’s history and culture.
