Azerbaijani sources report that Azerbaijan intends to allocate AZN 2 910 656 000 (3 707 369 000 dollar) from 2013 state budget for defense expenditures.
According to Azerbaijani government, AZN 1 528 582 000 will be allocated for Armed Forces, security forces and military industry. Of these funds AZN 1 416 364 000 will be allocated for defense forces (including AZN 1 19 442 000 for army and fleet, AZN 111 749 000 for State Border Service, AZN 5 391 000 for State Service on Mobilization and Conscription), AZN 106 439 000 for national security, AZN 2 733 000 for applied researches in defense, AZN 3 million for the Ministry of Defense Industry.
AZN 1 172 million extra funds will be allocated for strengthening defense potential of the country. This is up 75 952 million, or 6.9% compared to 2012.
Interior Troops and Special State Security Service are funded by the budget section on law-enforcement bodies and judicial authorities.
AZN 136 234 000 will be allocated for Interior Troops, AZN 74.074 million for Special State Security Service.
