According to Georgian President’s administration, president Saakashvili is back to Georgia from Bucharest, where he participated in the congress of European People’s Party, in early hours of October 19, later than planned as a result of “technical problems” of his plane.
Later on Thursday night the President’s administration announced that the president’s plane “had to make an emergency landing in the airport in Bucharest 10 minutes after leaving.”
The source reports that the reason was technical problems with the plane, in particular related to chassis.
Approximately four hours later on the President’s official Facebook page it was posted that President Saakashvili retuned back to Georgia at 2am local time on October 19.
