By the support of RA Ministry of Economy, in the cooperation with the UN World Tourism Organization, On October 19 a two-day international conference, titled “Human values and cultural diversity in the 21st century” started in Yerevan.
As reported, the aim of the conference is to emphasize the role of tourism, human values, cultural diversity communication, and sharing of practice.
RA Minister of Economy, Tigran Davtyan and the UN World Tourism Organization’s Secretary General, Taleb Rifai, made speeches at the opening ceremony of the conference.
The source informs that experts from United States, Germany, Spain, Italy, Greece, Czech Republic, Romania, Poland, Georgia and other CIS member countries were participating at the conference and were making speeches.
On the second day of the conference a special meeting will be organized dedicated to tourism.
The conference is sponsored by the U.S. Agency for International Development
“I-D-M-HSBC” program, as well as by the German Society for International Cooperation (GTZ / GIZ) and the “Austrian Airlines”.
