Leader of “New Times” party, Aram Karapetyan , today had a press-conference and touched upon the issue of upcoming Armenian presidential elections.
According to him if in the upcoming presidential elections the ANC, oppositional political party, doesn’t nominate its leader, Levon Ter-Petrosyan, nothing serious would happen.
“ANC must nominate only its leader, otherwise no serious change would happen. To tell the truth I won’t talk about Armenian opposition any more since for me the most important thing is our country and our nation and the terrible situation in which we are now. Our country is in a bad situation, we must do everything to support our country, but instead of it our government shows political soap operas for our nation. I’m talking about Oskanian’s case, as for me it was a political soap opera and I titled it in this way : “PAP support me, otherwise we will imprison your minister”. This is all we have in our country” said Karapetyan.
As reported, during the press-conference he talked about the single candidate for the upcoming presidential election and according to him it can’t happen in Armenia.
“Earlier all of us saw what kind of elections were held in Georgia, because their country is developing, but our country still can’t do such actions.”
