Today’s armenian political life is in a swamp, said the head of “New Times” party Aram Karapetyan in the interview with journalists speaking on home and external political challenges.
According to the speaker it would be difficult to move forward in such political situation, because the main parties have no idea how to develop the country. Aram Karapetyan noted that objective conversation is to be established in the political field, one must clearly understand the main issues in Armenia, whereas the authorities try their best to be reelected and discuss only this issue.
“The powers in the first and second place carry out no objective discussion. It is a fact that these powers don’t enter into ideological debate, and the rest of the powers in the field bring no change either. The oppositions are in the parliament. Does the new parliament have a certain role? The most important issue is the one referring to Vartan Oskanian’s immunity. ” – said the speaker continuing that RA political life is a paradox, where 4-year-lasting government can come and say that they have a shamefull situation.
Touching upon Oskanian’s case, Aram Karapetyan assured that there is a plot against Vartan Oskanian. “The aim of the plot was a pro-Russian authority and pro- Western opposition.”- noted Aram Karapetyan.
