Aharon Adibekyan, head of the “Socio-meter” Sociological Center, had a press conference and talked about the possible candidates of the upcoming presidential elections.
According to him Gagik Tsarukyan is the most popular candidate for Armenians.
“Our nation has the biggest sympathy towards Gagik Tsarukyan because of his kind human image but the thing is that Tsarukyan will compete with other oppositional figures, like Raffi Hovhannisyan and Petrosyan, since at the present he can’t compete with Sargsyan” said Adibekyan adding “when a person loves someone he doesn’t see his or her disadvantages. We have the same thing with Tsarukyan”.
Talking about likes and dislikes, Adibekyan said that our nation has the biggest dislike towards Levon Ter-Petrosyan and that he is the least popular candidate.
To the question whether the numbers are made in order to show Tsarukyan as a single candidate, he responded that the numbers are given due to the people’s responds.
“The numbers which I informed are the answers of our nation. 70 % of our nation dislikes Kocharyan (second president of Armenia) and only 30 % think otherwise. 80 % percent dislike Serzh Sargsyan, and the other 20 have sympathy and finally 90 % of our nation have sympathy towards Gagik Tsarukyan. All these numbers are the result of the survey conducted among Armenians. ”
