Georgian media reports that some 2,740 new business entities were registered in Georgia in September 2012, 97.7 percent of which accounts for entrepreneurial entities (individual entrepreneurs, community solidarity, limited liability companies, joint stock companies, etc.), and 2.3 percent – non-entrepreneurial (non-entrepreneurial legal persons, legal entities of public law, etc.).
As reported, a monthly index of business registration in September (December 2010 +100) was fixed at 0.626.
Most business entities registered in September 2012 are individual entrepreneurs (1131 units, or 59.5 percent) and limited liability companies (1035 units, or 37.8 percent). Some 64 non-entrepreneurial legal entity, the seven branches of foreign business entities and three joint-stock companies were also registered in September.
