“Armenian Times” daily recalls that Tigran Sargsyan, Armenia’s PM, has recently announced that 30 % of Armenians is poor.
According to daily, there are more poor people in Armenia than it was announced.
It is considered that those Armenians who get 33.500 AMD in a month are considered to be poor. However, according to the official data of Armenian National Statistical Service, those Armenians who get less than 53.000 AMD are considered to be poor.
“Armenian Times” writes that naturally the number of poor people in Armenia is much more than 30 %.
According to daily, 60-70 % of the population is poor.
