Azerbaijani sources report that French Ambassador to Azerbaijan Pascal Monie told journalists about the likelihood of denial of the Armenian Genocide bill in France.
“In my personal opinion, the genocide issue should be left to historians. It is more important to start a dialogue with each other.
France’s Constitutional Court resolved that the adoption of the Armenian genocide bill contradicts their Constitution.
And since the bill does not comply with the Constitution, that question was never resolved. In order to adopt this law the Constitution of France need to be changed.”
