On October 17, Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian received the newly appointed Greek Ambassador in Armenia Ioannis Taghis, for presenting copies of his credentials.
Congratulating the Ambassador on appointment, Minister Nalbandian expressed hope that during his tenure Armenian-Greek traditionally warm and friendly relations will be extended and strengthened even more. The minister also noted that Armenia attaches importance to the long friendship between the two peoples and the continuing development of inter-state cooperation with Greece based on common values.
Ambassador Taghis expressed gratitude for the reception and assured that will spare maximum effort in strengthening fraternal relations with Armenia, to bring it to qualitatively new level.
“First News and Analyses” was informed from the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs that at the conversation they stressed the agreements signed in 2011 during the state visit of the RA President to Greece, which brought an important impetus to the bilateral relations.
