On October 17, the President of the National Assembly Hovik Abrahamyan received the Head of the OSCE Office in Yerevan, Ambassador Andrei Sorokin.
The President highlighted the activities of the OSCE’s Office in Armenia, noting that our country attaches great importance to cooperation with OSCE, as well as the support of the organization to our country’s democratic reform process.
The NA President welcomed the OSCE’s engagement in support to accommodate the RA legislation to European standards.
The head of the organization praised the effective cooperation between the National Assembly and the OSCE Office in Yerevan, noting with gratification that a good basis is set, which has shown positive results during many years.
In this context the memorandum of cooperation signed between the staff of the National Assembly and the OSCE Office in Yerevan was mentioned, which is being successfully implemented in different directions.
During the meeting the sides also discussed regional issues of mutual interest.
