RF President Vladimir Putin has congratulated President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and the Azerbaijani people on the national holiday – the Day of independence.
The letter reads.
“Dear Ilham Heydar,
Accept sincere congratulations on the occasion of the state independence of Azerbaijan.
Achievements of your country in the economic, scientific, technological, social and cultural fields are well-known. Azerbaijan enjoys well-deserved reputation in the world, plays an active role in the settlement of the pressing issues of the international agenda.
I note with gratification that Russian-Azerbaijani relations based on strong traditions of friendship, good-neighborliness and mutual respect, are developing positively.
Political dialogues, multifaceted practical cooperation, partnership in regional affairs are expanding. I am sure that all this fully responds to the interests of the Russian and Azerbaijani people, helps to strengthen the integration processes within the Commonwealth of Independent States.
Dear Ilham Aliyev, I wish you good health, happiness and new achievements, and to the citizens of your republic – well-being and prosperity. ”
