Regnum news agency reports that “Prosperous Armenia” party leader Gagik Tsarukyan’s press secretary Iveta Tonoyan sent invitations to the ambassadors of EU countries and heads of international agencies on the occasion of 135th anniversary of Gagik Tsarukyan’s “Ararat” wine- cognac-vodka factory, “Hraparak” writes.
The invitation was accepted by the ambassadors of France, UK, Sweden, Bulgaria, Romania, Belarus and China. “Russian ambassador Vyacheslav Kovalenko was absent in this high-level “party”. Unofficial explanation says: “Who drinks on Tuesday?” whereas the official one says: “The ambassador was busy with the Chairman of the Accounts Chamber of Russia who had arrived to Armenia.”- the paper writes.
The daily noted that this absence is predetermined by Tsarukyan’s meeting with US ambassador John Heffern and “Prosperous Armenia” attention to the Western block.
