During his visit to Georgia Deputy Secretary of the U.S. Eric Rubin received a promise that the country’s foreign policy will remain unchanged. Rubin said this during a press conference at the U.S. Embassy in Georgia.
“I congratulate the people of Georgia on the process of the peaceful transfer of power. Maybe there is some controversy that reflects the difference between them, but it would be inappropriate for me to delve into the internal politics. In Tbilisi, I met with the President of Georgia, and at all the meetings they promised that the country’s foreign policy will be Euro-Atlantic and the close relationship between the U.S. and Georgia will continue, “- said Eric Rubin.
Recall that the U.S. Undersecretary of State arrived in Georgia from Azerbaijan. During his visit he met with the President of Georgia, a candidate for Prime Minister, members of the winning “Georgian Dream” political coalition.
