President Serzh Sargsyan met with Italian Minister of Defense, Admiral Jampaolo Di Paola. Reports the RA President’s office.
Serzh Sargsyan welcomed the Minister’s visit to our country and noted that Armenia attaches importance to multifaceted cooperation with Italy, including the strengthening of bilateral ties.
Both sides noted with gratification that the signing of an agreement in the framework of the visit of the Italy’a Ministry of Defense with the RA Ministry of Defense on cooperation in that field will create a basis for the deployment of bilateral cooperation.
They highly estimated Armenian-Italian centuries-old friendship ties, which, in their opinion, are reinforced by mutual visits on different levels.
Italy’s defense minister said that he is well aware of the history and culture of Armenia from the works kept in St. Lazarus Island in Venice and is very impressed by the valuable investments of Armenians to the world.
