“The Armenian National Congress can’t help nominating Levon Ter-Petrosyan,” said ANC member Nikol Pahinyan in the conversation with “Liberty” radio broadcast.
Pashinyan’s announcement perhaps means that the ANC can also not nominate Ter-Petrosyan. That’s why Pashinyan expresses that sharp and unequivocal assessment.
The problem is that ANC can offer no nominations and support the “Prosperous Armenia” candidate. This is perhaps the most dangerous part for Pashinyan, because then he can appear not only out of the game, but also out of the ANC.
PAP leaves no other choice to the ANC than to support his candidate. PAP makes the ANC play for him, and now Congress is unable not to play the game. So, the ANC is not approaching presidential election, but an internal explosion.
