RA Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian has had a number of bilateral meetings in the capital of the Democratic Republic of Congo in the framework of International Organization of Francophone Summit.
The press office of the FM informed “First News and Analyses” that on October 14 in Kinshasa Edward Nalbandian met with the President of the Republic of Congo Denis Sasu Ngeso.
Congo’s Minister of Foreign Affairs congratulated RA FM on the membership of the International Organization of Francophone, and expressed hope that the new status of Armenia will develop its relations with the Francophone world. Edward Nalbandian noted that Armenia attaches great importance to developing relations with the countries of the African continent and takes active steps in that direction.
RA FM also met with Morocco’s Foreign Minister Saad-Edin Al Otmani, during which they focused on bilateral cooperation, expansion of the legal framework, and trade-economic, scientific, cultural issues. Saad-Edin Al Otman informed about the Morocco’s approaches on Western Sahara. Edward Nalbandian in his turn presented the essence of the Karabakh conflict and the efforts undertaken by the international community and Armenia.
Conversation with Burkina Faso Foreign Minister Jibril Basole was dedicated to the cooperation of international organizations, bilateral development of the legal basis. In Kinshasa Edward Nalbandian met with the Foreign Minister Daniel Kablan Duncan. The two ministers recorded that there is a potential for the development of cooperation, and by means of joint efforts it will be possible to implement.
