Today president Serzh Sargsyan took part in the second assembly of pan-Armenian Congress of NGOs that took place in RA National Academy of Science.
The president gave a speech during the assembly. He greeted all the guests and participants of the second assembly of pan-Armenian Congress of NGOs. “I am happy to see many familiar faces that have arrived to Armenia to learn the agenda of pan-Armenian issues. Each attempt to unite the Diaspora is encouraged. Each Armenian has his role and value, that’s why we must support the mechanisms of mutual help.
There are many Armenian NGOs throughout the world. They comprise pan-Armenian civil society. It is a society, which includes political, benevolent, cultural, professional organizations.”- said the head of the country.
The president brought parallels with Armenian history saying that neither civil society, nor the state is interchangeable. “Armenians appeared abroad because of Genocide. The 100th anniversary of Genocide is close. The evil against our nation must get its answer. Armenian history and pan-Armenian civil society have demands to be supplied. We defended Artsakh. We will protect all Armenians in case of war. Today Syrian Armenians are in danger and we ought to support them. We have much to do and we are sure to perform it to the full.”–concluded the president wishing good luck to the participants of the assembly.
