Azerbaijani APA news agency reports that the government plans to allocate AZN 1 528 582 000 ($1 947 238 000) for defense expenditures from the next year’s budget. APA reports that it is up 8.6% compared to 2012.
AZN 1 407 312 400 was allocated for defense expenses from the state budget in 2012.
Total defense expenditure including the amounts specified in expenses which don’t belong to any main defense expenditure categories accounts for 13% of the 2013 state budget spending.
