Azerbaijani mobile operator Bakcell LTD will today sign a partnership agreement with England’s football club “Manchester United”, Azerbaijani mass media reports.
The contract envisages providing financial support by the operator to the club, and the club, in its turn, will contribute to the company’s marketing strategy.
Football Club “Manchester United” ranks first in the ranking of the most expensive sports teams according to Forbes.
Forbes estimates the value of “Manchester United” at $2.23 billion.
In the 2010/11 season, “Manchester United” won the championship of England for the record 19th time, leaving behind “Liverpool”.
In 1968, the “Manchester United” became the first English club which won the European Cup. In 1999 the club won a major European club trophy for the second time, leaving behind Munich’s “Bavaria” in the final. The “Manchester United” is also the record breaker for its cups (11 victories).
