Press service of Armenian Foreign Ministry told our News Agency that Edward Nalbandyan, MFA of Armenia, signed a cooperation agreement with Abdou Diouf, secretary general of Frankophonie international organization.
Note, our MFA is now in Kinshasa, where the international organization of Francophone organization holds meetings. As reported, the main issue of the discussion was the development of French language in Armenia and the agreement was signed over that issue.
After signing the agreement Diouf had a speech and said that Armenia’s involvement in the organization will help French language to develop and spread in the country.
Nalbandyan, in his turn said that it is very important to be member of the organization, and stressed that the two agreements, which were signed during the meeting, will help in the development of Armenia-Francophone relations.
The source informs that Diouf also noted that even though Armenia became member of the organization n 2008, it has done a lot for the organization, and he is sure that will do more in the future.
