Russian Regnum news agency reported that ADAM social service conducted polls in Azerbaijan on a number of issues. Survey, which was attended by 1,000 people from the age of 18 and above, was conducted from August 1 to September 1 in various towns of Azerbaijan.
41.9 percent of survey participants believe that the best option for Azerbaijan would be the development of cooperation with the U.S. and Europe, 26.7 percent believe that the development of cooperation with Russia and the CIS, 17.4 percent believe that the development of cooperation with the Islamic world.
According to survey results, the most friendly country for Azerbaijan has been recognized Turkey- 80.7 percent, then comes Russia- 39.3 percent, Georgia- 26.6 percent, Ukraine-16.4 percent, Iran- 8.1percent , the U.S. -7.9 percent, Pakistan-5.5 percent, Great Britain- 4.9 percent, Germany- 2.8 percent, China- 0.5percent, France- 0.1 per cent (France was mentioned by one person).
Hostile countries for Azerbaijan are considered to be Armenia for 97.7percent, Iran- 32.9 percent. France- 25.5 percent, U.S.- 20.5 percent, Russia- 13.8 percent, Israel- 7 percent , Georgia- 2.3 percent, Turkey- 0.2 percent.
57.2 percent of survey participants are against that the country to be led by shariah laws, 23.2 percent is partially in favor of it (for example, family law) and only 13.7 percent wholly support it.
