On October 11, the National Assembly President Hovik Abrahamyan received the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Argentina in Armenia Diego Ernesto Alvares Rivera.
Congratulating Mr. Rivera on the appointment as an Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to the Republic of Armenia, Mr. Abrahamyan wished him success and expressed willingness to assist in the development of any initiative concerning Armenian-Argentinean relations. The NA President noted that Armenia is interested in Latin American countries, in particular developing and deepening friendly relations with Argentina. He noted with gratification that in the parliaments of the two countries’ friendship groups are formed, which, thanks to the efficient work, can boost bilateral relations.
Expressing gratitude for the reception Argentine Ambassador also emphasized the importance of bilateral relations in the political, economic, cultural and other fields, noting that there is a lot of unused potential. The Ambassador stressed the importance of deepening Armenian-Argentine cooperation by the development and activation of inter-parliamentary relations. Other issues of mutual interest have been also discussed.
