On October 10, in the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, at the press conference summoned by the head of the National Assembly delegation Artashes Geghamian, results of the autumn session of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly during October 5-7 in Tirana were concluded.
During the session Artashes Geghamian touched upon subject on “Economic and financial transformation” and the “promotion and protection of the multinational and multicultural societies in the region”, as well as spoke about extradition of Armenian officer Margaryan’s murderer and Hungarian-Azerbaijan disgraceful transaction.
At the end of the meeting, the head of Turkish delegation Emin Onen presented a resolution to the ongoing developments at the Turkish-Syrian border, and Mr.Geghamian expressed negative opinion about it, arguing that the resolution will not easen the already tense situation. “The Armenian delegation cannot be indifferent for the simple reason that more than 85 thousand Armenians live in Syria,” he said.
After the speech of the head of the Armenian delegation, delegates of Greece, Austria and Italy noted that the issue has only peace mission, but proffered abstaining from it. It was said that the resolution was not put to the vote and declared that it was accepted by consensus minus one.
