Saakashvili-Ivanishvili meeting should not be overestimated

“This is continuation of peaceful power transfer process following democratic elections”, Georgian Parliamentary Speaker David Bakradze stated this noting that meeting between Saakashvili and Ivanishvili shows responsibility of both parties. Bakradze stressed that consultation process of partial of executive power to former opposition from Georgian Dream is currently in process. “We would also like to note that parliamentary elections are not linked with presidential elections and elections of local administration, they happen to be completely different power branches, this is why automatic transfer of presidential power position and local government is not possible,” Bakradze noted.
