Today, October 9, Hungarian intellectuals, historian and political analyst Zoltan Biron, rector of a Hungarian institute named after John Walse, Gabor Ivan, having the level of doctor, journalist Gabor Deak and writer Rudolf Ungvar met with Armenian journalists and condemned Hungary’s action over Safarov’s extradition.
According to journalist Gabor Deak, Hungarian people condemn the mentioned action and added that the majority of Hungarians are against the decision which was made by Hungarian authorities.
“We have come to Armenia in order to show that we don’t agree with our country. The decision was wrong. Even though we are only four people but be sure that we represent the ideas of the Hungarian people who condemn the action. Today we will visit Gourgen Margaryan’s tomb ” said Gabor Deak.
Gabor Ivanov in his turn stressed that the decision was mainly made by Hungarian PM, Viktor Urban.
He also stressed that MFA of Hungary condemns the action.
“We have come here because we feel a great pain and we are ashamed because of our government. We are really ashamed! ” stressed the Hungarian intellectuals.
