Director of the “Forum” Legal Center, Tigran Ter-Esayan and the president of NA Human Rights and Public Affairs Standing Committee, Elinar Vardanyan , had a “face to face” debate concerning the effects of “political prisoner” legal terms which was organized by PACE.
According to the politicians there wasn’t the need of such term in Armenia.
The journalist of “Aravot” asked them to comment on Oskanian’s case and say whether he will be imprisoned or not.
They stressed that the chase after Oskanian had a political motivation behind it, and added that it kind of helped Oskanian for his PR.
Ter-Esayan stressed that Oskanian won’t be imprisoned. According to him it is just a politics.
The journalist also asked to comment whether ahead the upcoming next presidential elections there would be “political prisoners” or not.
Ter-Esayan said that we should just wait and added that not everything depends on the president.
