Director of “Sociometer” independent sociological center Aharon Adibekyan presented the results of his surveys for the initial rate of the main candidates for the upcoming presidential elections.
Poll was conducted on September 15-16 and 21-22 in all regions. 39% of respondents connect the present condition of the country with the president, while 47% – with the governmental system.
“The fact that the PAP left the ruling coalition and didn’t join opposition after the last parliamentary election rearranged voters. They currently have the following structure: 36 percent of respondents are pro-government, 20 percent have not decided, 16 percent support the opposition,” presented Adibekyan.
Based on the surveys Adibekyan predicts 65-67 percent of presence at the upcoming presidential election.
According to the poll, the votes are distributed among the main candidates like this: Serzh Sargsyan- 35.6 percent, Gagik Tsarukyan-31.8 percent, hesitators- 32.6 percent.
“In fact, according to initial ratings, Serzh Sargsyan is competitive among pro-government, Tsarukyan- among the opposition.”
